What is Weekends with Yankee?

Named for the long-running publication enjoyed by readers across America for more than 80 years, the series is a joint effort of Yankee Magazine and public media powerhouse . Since its premiere in 2016, Weekends with Yankee has traveled throughout New England, transporting viewers nationwide on an insider’s journey to the region’s very best—from captivating scenery, bountiful nature, marine life and wildlife, and breathtaking vistas to signature attractions and the singular secret spots known only to locals.

Over the course of 13 half-hour episodes each season, cohosts Richard Weise, an Emmy Award-winning TV travel host and explorer, and Amy Traverso, cookbook author and Yankee senior food editor, bring viewers along as they experience the people, locations, and flavors that make our region so unique.
